About Me

Hi everyone! My name is Darian Dozier and I am currently a resident physician in Internal Medicine. My journey has been nontraditional and full of ups and downs, so I’m here to share my story, hear yours, and help make this journey a little easier one laugh at a time.

Darian Dozier, about me
Darian Dozier

I am originally from the midwest, attended school in the south, and will return to the midwest for residency. Before medical school, I worked a myriad of jobs. Including women’s basketball manager, research assistant, teacher, coach, referee, you name it.

During my senior year of college, I applied to medical school, but ultimately did not get in. It was really disappointing, but I took time off to strengthen my application and ultimately get in. I graduated from Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in May 2024 and an excited to share my journey through residency!

Current Venture

Melanated and Meducated is my little baby! It’s my quarantine project that I would like to one day lead the charge in improving diversity in medicine. The world of medicine can be pretty exclusive, and I want to change that. By making information about becoming a physician more accessible, I hope to help close the gap, and give more students a fighting chance.

I’m by no means an expert, and all opinions shared are my own. But, I’m an expert in ME and I want to share with you all that I’ve learned about Me and this experience. I plan on rolling out a lot of content on different platforms, as well as some tools and apparel that will help you really maximize your experience.

I am also a Freelance writer, and have been published on other mediums. You may check out my portfolio at the link below. If you think my writing would be a good fit for you website, please, don’t hesitate to email me at [email protected].
